Who We Are
An Association of Public Course Golf Clubs
Our Aims Are
To promote, encourage and foster the game of golf, through the
co-ordination
of the activities of the numerous public course clubs.
To promote interaction between affiliated clubs,
for both golfing and social
purposes.
To gain recognition of public course player's handicaps.
To arrange organised inter-club Tournaments and
Competitions for public
course golfers generally.
The League is run by a committee of management comprising
the office bearers
and elected delegates from each of the
affiliated clubs. The executive meets bi-monthly to deal with
the general affairs of the league and has a tournament
sub-committee to organise competitions.
The elected club delegates meet five times per year including
the Annual
General Meeting, to direct the executive and
review decisions made. The
ordinary expenses of the
league are met by an annual capitation fee from
each
affiliated club. Fees are $10 per member per year.
What We Offer
We through our affiliated
clubs, offer weekly competitions
at club level and regular inter club
tournaments during the year.
Members handicaps are maintained at club level and over
sighted by a
centralised handicap system.
Each year we run a match play pennant season with 3 divisions
off the stick
and 3 divisions handicap match play.
